GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. August 6, 2006 LeAnn Rimes has canceled her upcoming appearance with the Grand Rapids Symphony, due to a scheduling conflict. Rimes was scheduled to appear with the Symphony on Dec. 19, 2006 in DeVos Performance Hall as part of its SymphonicBoom series.
The Grand Rapids Symphony will be telephoning each one of its patrons who have purchased tickets and explain ticketing options in light of Rimes’ cancellation.
“This is due to circumstances beyond our control, but we will do our utmost to insure customer satisfaction in light of this unexpected news,” said Grand Rapids Symphony President Melia Tourangeau.
The Symphony is working with Rimes’ management to find a replacement and expects to be able to make an announcement soon regarding who that will be.
“We look forward to making an announcement shortly about a performer of the same caliber as Ms. Rimes to perform on the same dateDec. 19,” said Tourangeau.
